The Covid-19 pandemic is hard on us all. For our immigrant families who are low-income households, it has been especially hard. A story familiar to many immigrant and marginalized families is unfolding:

• Most immigrants are left out of federal and state assistance programs due to a lack of documentation.

• Families face other challenges unique to the immigrant experience like food, housing and employment insecurity, and lack of health insurance.

• Additional stress from fear of ICE detention. Sadly, ICE has stepped up its efforts to find, detain and repatriate undocumented immigrants.

In this time of uncertainty and hardship, we are asking you to lend a helping hand to immigrant families in Akron. Your donation goes directly to immigrant families to pay for food, utilities and rent. All funds received will be disbursed in the coming 90 days.
